Frequently Asked Questions
Choosing the right aesthetic medicine training is an important investment in your professional development.
Who can attend TFP Academy training?
TFP Academy training is designed for appropriately qualified healthcare professionals who are eligible to practise within the field of aesthetic medicine and within their professional scope of practice.
Our courses are primarily designed for doctors, dentists, nurse practitioners and registered nurses who are looking to begin or further develop their knowledge and practical skills in cosmetic medicine.
As eligibility and scope of practice can vary depending on your profession, qualifications and experience, we encourage you to contact us if you are unsure whether a particular course is suitable for you.
Do I need previous aesthetic medicine experience?
It depends on the course. Our specialised workshops assume you are already practising in aesthetic medicine, and any prerequisites are clearly outlined in the individual course information.
Each course combines the essential principles that underpin safe and responsible aesthetic practice — facial anatomy, patient assessment, consultation, treatment planning, product knowledge, injection techniques and patient safety — with supervised practical application.
If you are new to aesthetic medicine and looking for introductory training, please get in touch and we can talk you through what is coming up.
Are doctors, dentists, nurse practitioners and nurses all eligible?
TFP Academy welcomes appropriately qualified doctors, dentists and registered nurses, provided they are eligible to undertake the training and practise within their professional scope.
Before enrolling, it is important that participants understand their own professional, regulatory, indemnity and scope-of-practice requirements.
If you are unsure whether you are eligible to attend a particular course, please contact us before enrolling and we will be happy to discuss the course requirements with you.
How much hands-on training is included?
Hands-on training is an important part of the TFP Academy learning experience.
Our courses are deliberately kept to small groups, generally with a maximum of 6 participants, allowing for personalised guidance and practical experience under close clinical supervision.
The amount of hands-on training will vary depending on the course and the level of experience of participants. Each course combines theoretical learning with practical application, patient assessment, treatment planning, observation and supervised hands-on experience where applicable.
Our focus is not simply on teaching an injection technique. We want participants to understand why, when and how to treat a patient safely and appropriately.
Are models provided?
Where practical hands-on treatment is included as part of a course, TFP Academy will advise participants whether models are provided.
Model arrangements may vary depending on the specific course, treatment being taught and number of participants. Full details will be provided before the course so you know exactly what practical experience is included.
What is included in the course fee?
Your course fee includes the education, training and materials outlined in the individual course description. We also provide consumables and models where required for practical workshops. Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea are also provided for full day workshops.
Will I receive a certificate?
Yes. Participants who successfully complete the course will receive a TFP Academy Certificate of Completion.
Please note that a certificate of completion confirms that you have completed the relevant TFP Academy training. It does not replace your professional responsibilities regarding scope of practice, registration, regulatory requirements, insurance or indemnity.
Participants remain responsible for ensuring they are appropriately qualified and authorised to undertake aesthetic treatments within their own professional practice.
Are there pre-course requirements?
Some courses may have prerequisites, particularly advanced workshops or specialist training. Any requirements will be clearly outlined in the individual course information.
Where pre-course learning, documentation or preparation is required, this will be clearly communicated to you before your course.
We may also ask participants to provide evidence of their professional qualifications, registration or other relevant documentation before confirming enrolment.
What happens after I complete the course?
Completing a TFP Academy course is the beginning of your ongoing professional development in aesthetic medicine.
Aesthetic medicine is a field that requires continual learning, clinical experience and professional development. After completing your training with us, you may choose to continue developing your skills through additional TFP Academy workshops and advanced education.
Participants will also have the opportunity to stay connected with TFP Academy and be informed about future courses, workshops and educational opportunities.
Our aim is to support practitioners throughout their professional journey — from establishing strong foundations through to developing more advanced clinical knowledge and skills.
Is ongoing mentoring or education available?
Yes. Ongoing education is an important part of the TFP Academy philosophy.
We recognise that completing an initial training course does not mean the learning stops. As practitioners gain experience, new questions, challenges and learning opportunities arise.
TFP Academy offers ongoing education through advanced workshops, specialised training and Dr Jenni's Inner Circle, designed to support continued professional development and connection within the aesthetic medicine community.
Further mentoring and educational opportunities may also be available depending on your stage of practice and individual learning requirements.
What happens if I need to cancel or reschedule?
We understand that circumstances can sometimes change and you may need to cancel or reschedule your training.
Cancellation and rescheduling requests will be managed in accordance with the TFP Academy Terms and Conditions and Cancellation Policy. The amount of notice provided may affect whether your course fee can be transferred to another date or refunded.
As our courses are intentionally kept small and places are limited, we ask participants to provide as much notice as possible if they are unable to attend.
We recommend reviewing the Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy before enrolling. If you have any questions about your booking or are concerned that you may not be able to attend, please contact us as soon as possible and we will do our best to assist.
Still Have Questions?
If you are unsure which course is right for you, have questions about eligibility or would like to discuss your training pathway, please get in touch with the TFP Academy team.
We are happy to help you understand the available options and choose the training that best suits your current level of experience and professional goals.
