Course summary:
Start your journey in cosmetic medicine with a foundational course in neuromodulators.
You will receive/learn about:
- Introduction to the industry
- The history of neuromodulator use
- Medical uses of neuromodulators
- Introduction to facial anatomy, with focus on the facial muscles of the upper face
- Mechanism of action of Botulinum Toxin
- Patient assessment including common indications, contraindications, consultation skills, managing expectations and how to tailor your treatments to provide a personalised treatment plan.
- How to take good before and after photos
- Product knowledge with training in the three leading neuromodulators in the industry, their recommended dosing and placement for on label indications
- Injection technique
- Safety and complications - including how to prevent, identify and manage adverse reactions
- Patient care and post-treatment care
- Legal and ethical - consent forms, how to provide consent, record keeping, patient confidentiality, and regulatory guidelines, including advertising guidelines.
Once you have completed this online course, you will be able to register for your practical workshop to build on your knowledge with practical application of what you have learned, in an intimate, small group environment at our Takapuna Clinic (Level 1/10 Northcroft Street, Takapuna, Auckland).
By completing the online course and practical workshop, you will have gained extensive knowledge to support you in feeling confident and competent in providing a full consultation, assessment, consent and plan for your patients with the on label indications of neuromodulator treatments, and feel good about providing safe and effective natural-looking treatments with a high satisfaction rate.

Mandatory attendance for the In-Person practical assessments for this course are:
Workshop - Monday 3rd March 2025
1 on 1 Assessment - Tuesday 4th March 2025

Full payment is required to confirm your place in the workshop. We have small classes with a maximum of 6 injectors per day, so placement in the training course is on a first paid, first served basis.
For cancellations of your place in the workshop, we require at least 14 days’ notice.
You will receive a full refund of the training cost or the opportunity to transfer to another date, subject to availability.
Cancellations from 8 – 13 days prior to the training date are eligible for a 50% refund of the workshop cost or have one opportunity to transfer to a future date for the same workshop.
Any cancellations within 7 days prior to the workshop will forfeit the full training fee and are unable to transfer to an alternative training date.
